Advocate for the Disability Royal Commission (DRC)

We are looking for an experienced advocate to work with people with disability, and their allies. As an Advocate, you will support people with disability to share their story of violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation with the Disability Royal Commission (DRC), in order to prevent it in the future. Every day is as diverse as the people you will support.
- Work in a supportive and flexible team with access to trauma informed counselling
- Provide empowering and positive support directly to people with disability
- Develop collaborative relationships and networks between agencies with travel to regional NSW
- Access to training that will support you to work with people with disability to promote and protect their rights.
This is a part time position, three days per week (22.8 hrs/wk) at Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010: Grade 4.1 to 4.3, (depending on experience) with generous salary packaging available.
