Systemic Advocacy

At MDAA, our Systemic Advocacy aims to create positive changes in the system for people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) and culturally and racially marginalised (CARM) with disabilities and their families and carers. We work to influence and secure long-term changes that remove barriers and address discriminatory practices, ensuring that the collective rights and interests of people with disabilities from CALD/NESB backgrounds are upheld.

Our Goals: We strive to improve policies, procedures, practices, and service delivery in both government and non-government agencies. Our efforts focus on making the system more inclusive and equitable for everyone.

Our Approach: To achieve better outcomes for people from CALD/CARM backgrounds with disabilities and their families/carers, we:

  • Respond to new initiatives, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other agencies to drive change.
  • Take proactive action to highlight and address our issues.

Through our Systemic Advocacy, we work towards a fairer and more just system for all.
