Artist in Residence
We are thrilled to announce the appointment of our new Artist in Residence at MDAA – Malakai Madden. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to celebrating diversity and fostering creativity within our community. Malakai will create art that captures the unique experiences and stories of people with disabilities from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
During his residency, Malakai will lead workshops and produce works that explore the intersection of culture, identity, and disability. We’re also proud to showcase his lifetime of artworks currently exhibited at our office, offering a glimpse into his artistic journey and profound talent. This opportunity not only enriches our cultural initiatives but also provides a platform for artistic expression and community engagement.
