The peer group of Freedom Through Empowerment is a program that aims to enhance the physical, emotional well-being and mental health of people with disability from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) or Non-English speaking (NES) background through social participation and strengthened informal support networks.
It focuses on minimalising the barriers that lead to social isolation and provide a range of sessions that increase the independence of the participants
The programs consist of:
- Learning more about yourself and your well-being
- Learning to be independent
- psychoeducational of emotional hygiene and healthy relationship
- Outings with therapeutic activities
- Up cycle workshop
- Arts and craft
- Basic horticultural skills
- Karaoke, gentle exercise and dancing
