Services

At MDAA Inc. we provide a range of advocacy services and projects for ALL people in NSW, who have a disability and their families and carers, with a particular focus on those from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) / non-English speaking(NES) background with disability, and service providers in NSW.
Assists people to stand up for their rights, for example, when people have problems with housing, immigration, school, work and disability services.
Works towards positive change in policies, procedures, practices and service delivery in government and non-government agencies.

Advocacy Development

Offers community information days, training and information sessions for people from CALD/NESB with disability and their families and carers.

 

The ACVVS program at MDAA focuses on aged people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse/non-English speaking (CALD/NES) background who live in Western Sydney, South West Sydney and Illawarra areas.

The volunteers will visit care recipients of Australian Government Funded Residential Ages Care and Home Care packages.

 

 

The Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association (MDAA) has committed to raising awareness of personal and family safety and bridging the gap in access to relevant services. 

Funded by the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), MDAA aims to build the capacity of multicultural leaders and communities in areas of Blacktown, Parramatta, and Wollongong in recognizing and responding to domestic, family, and sexual violence.

MDAA’s NDIS Appeals and Reviews Officers can support you throughout the internal review of your plan or to appeal an external review decision, through the Administrative and Appeals Tribunal (AAT)
